Is he gonna turn out to be a baddie? The story about having his brother to stay sounded well-dodgy to me.

I don't believe a word of it either Mrs C (and yes, I know it's not real).
Here's my guess.

He is married, but his wife has a mental/dementia condition or is physically disabled and housebound and that Paul is a really good kind man who will stick with his wife because of her illness. I think Irene will find out and they will continue with their relationship.

I am willing to bet on it!!
He's married,it's been in all the papers.
Like your thinking Lofty.

Thanks lasses.

I do hope you're right, Lottie. I like Eileen (I know it's not real). :o)
I think Irene is one of the best characters in Corrie - if not the best. She is also someone I would like as a friend.

(And I too know it's not real life!;o) )

Oops, sorry, didn't see Everhelpful there. I rarely read the newspapers, so thanks for that, EH.
And personally I think she's a very attractive lady too - loads of character on her face (unlike Maria and piggy nosed Carla)

Is he a baddie then? Or is Lottie right....he's a good 'un?

Yes Doc, she and Steve were a good partnership.

I often think that a spin off comedy series 'Street Cars' would have been a good idea.
Yes loftie I agree, much better than the stupid E20 spin-off from Enders
I like Sue Cleaver as well and Eileen does come out with some funny lines.
I think they should have got her a hunky fireman who was at least as tall as her. I think he just looks quite wimpy and cant really imagine her being attracted to him. She would eat him alive! Oh yes and I too Know its not real.
I quite fancy her too
I've said this before - why can't we discuss soaps without feeling the need to remind others we know they aren't real? - we are in the Media & TV category after all. Soaps are a way of life for some people, especially older people like my mum who lives alone and they are company for her. Get over it!!
