On quiz programmes such as Pointless or Family Fortunes where the correct answers rely on surveys such as ' we asked a hundred people' or some thing similar, has anyone ever been asked any of these questions as part of the survey?

I think they ask members of the audience but not sure
I thought the same thing myself tonight, I have never been surveyed
I do online surveys all the time, but have never been asked any that seem to relate to those type of shows.

I've never been asked or know anybody who has either and often wondered how they do it because sometimes on Pointless someone misses out on the jackpot because ,say, 2 people out of the hundred said the particular answer. How is it verified?
Leading on from this you might say

If the question was for example name the main Underground lines in London - and they surveyed 100 people from Glasgow the result would be totally different if the 100 were from Greenwich!!!

Or even one actual question used in the 'Pointless' final recently was to name a pointless answer for names of Scottish Universities. Again a different answer depending on the 100 people surveyed being a cross-section of Joe (& Joanne) Public

Exactly, so really its down to pot luck like lots of other quizes!
No, but I've always wondered who and how they asked. Did they just go into the street in a busy shopping area and stop 100 people?
We went to watch a tv comedy episode and were given a form to fill in. There were 20 words and we had to name something related to that word. The only one I can remember was 'name a type of pin' - Mr M put rolling pin!
I guess it was for Family Fortunes.

I'm glad somone has been asked! You're the first I've ever heard of!
Often wondered how these surveys work, havng been thinking the same watching Pointless no one has ever asked me. Do you think they give people lists and ask them to tick off the relevant answers, love to know how it all works!
I was once asked a famous Fred .I just said ,"Im afraid". before I had finished she said ins't that funny we ask a Fred a famous Fred.
I think the survey is carried out when the audience are entering the studio, like they do on Ant & Dec's show.
