Thought it had a fantastic opening episode but quickly fell out of love with it. Can anybody tell me if it became clear why the woman shot herself in the first episode?

No, they're still running that storyline! It's got something to do with her baby daughter who was accidentally killed by her son - or so we thought, until her husband told the son that nothing happened, and she is alive and well... all very confusing!

Seeing the trailers on tv i presumed it was a Sex and the City ripoff devoid of originality or substance and consequently dismissed it. Having now seen the first 15 or so episodes I can tell you it is actually a very well planned series - almost in a kind of whodunnit sense and written in a vaguely familiar way to Twin Peaks. I do however feel the ending can go one of two ways: with a sublime and unexpected twist, or a drably typical hollywood-esque gloss. Have to wait and see I guess. Oh and Bree (sp?) is gorgeous!!

I love it!  It is sort-of (loosely) like SATC, but the whodunnit thing keeps me hooked!  Whatever happened to Mike though, are him and Teri Hatcher still together?  There was practically no mention of him last week.
