Are those two aunties meant to be cariacatures?

Does anyone find these two aunties a total embarrassment? Surley thats not how things are in their culture that they would try to find a husband for a woman who already has twins with her partner?

They were cringeworthy last time they were in Corrie, and they're even worse this time. I did however think it was funny tonight when Tina had David's nose in the GHD's.

Yes, the rest was good, but the two aunties spoiled it. I hate to think we are being undervalued and treated like idiots.

I thought the same lyn, a really stupid story line, a bit like Bollywood movies and I am sure a doctor wouldn't be having a coffee in a cafe and gone to Devs house.

The two Indian so called actresses are an embarrassment to the series, get rid ASAP.

Mentioning Dev, his acting is so OTT and cant understand why they keep him in the programme

Yes, the notion of bumping into your doc and him/her then popping over in their lunch break is just so ridiculous. As for Dev taking off his sock - it was insulting.

if a doc goes into cafe it would be a costa not a greasy spoon too, anyway, they are trying too hard to be funny, and it isn't quite working

Part of the reason for that is because Jamila Massey, who plays one of these Aunties, also played Jamila Ranjha in 'Mind your language'.........:o)

Any one else find Stephanie Cole's character surprisingly disappointing? There is a lot more potential there. She could be the new Blanche.

I agree mike- they could do more with an actress of her calibre maybe they ate slowly building her up

Jth - so she did and one of them is Usha's aunt on the archers. I believe the actress who plays Usha also played Devs mum - and I think she is younger than him
