Only just caught up with Corrie. Who were the voices from the past she was remembering at the end and why were they so important? Think I missed a connection here! Thanks!

Jim, Steve, bet lynch, can't recall the others sorry x
suppose they were just memories she was reflecting on before she left.
I heard the actress who used to play Cindy Beale in Eastenders will be taking over
the Rovers Return.
And John michie from Taggart will play her husband.
Alec Gilroy as well.
Well could have been worse .She could a remembered conors and ashleys
oh no Gilroy's not coming back into it is he?

Thanks! I couldnt recognise some of the voices and wondered if it was something to do with why she was leaving rather than just memories. I read that Michelle Collins and Robbie from Taggart were taking over as well. Going to see 'Corrie' the play in Bradford next month and Roy Barraclough (Alec Gilroy) is the guest narrator!
when I try to remember the past, I don't hear voices, i don't think, if I did, should I worry?
they were from the producers record library and didn't even apply to liz, i thought! xx

It is merely a technique, and not a terribly good one at that. When a long-standing character leaves, ghostly voices from the past are meant to heighten the poignancy. Corrie did this with Elsie Tanner and Bet Lynch.
