Panasonic Viera

I have a Panasonic Viera TX-32LXD60 LCD TV which was working perfectly but now will not turn on. The standby light flikers and there is a licking noise as if the TV was trying to turn on but it does not seem to want to start.

Any ideas

I am no techno but do you think it could be simply new batteries needed in your remote?

Could be a component fault, I had this happen to my tv 2 months after the warranty run out
