He always looks like he could do with a wash........
JTH funny you should say that. When I met him the most striking thing (I didn`t know who he was at the time) was that his black tee shirt was very grubby and looked like it could do with a wash.
I have done a charity run alongside the late Jimmy Saville, met Tom O'Connor, Justin Fashanu, shook Chris Martin's hand (Coldplay), spoken with Chris Tarrant who used to board his dog at my brother's kennels in Esher, met and spoke with Sam Medcalf (Sam in Eastenders),
I bumped into the actress Claire Bloom twice. Once in a cemetery in Paris and the second time on Nungate bridge - she was in town for a music/poetry reading, and she was extremely nice, very friendly. Have also met the Queen Mother and
finger slipped. Fish the singer is a local, great chap!
About 25 years ago I had coach trip to London and needed the loo in Harrods (been nosey) I walked past the actress Joanne David, at a till who had not long ago been in tv remake of Rebecca.I remember stopping and staring at her-rude me, also saw Cilla Black in a limo once, me and mate waved to her (at crossing) and she looked away-was that karma for before??

that guy who does diy, and bigbrother craig phillips was at our local b&q I was struck by two things 1) he was very small 2) his hair was obviously coloured and looked quite bad
Yes I have, but this is a long time ago and many wouldn't even recognise their names now. Among them Judy Garland & Sid Luft, Satchmo (Louis Armstrong), The Walker Brothers, Peter O'Toole, Peter Sellers (but I was too young to understand who these two were, to be honest!), Andres Segovia, Pierre Salinger (John F Kennedy's right hand man) and many more, i.e. Harry Secombe, Fiona Bruce. A few years ago I met Andrew Ridgeley (Wham) at a party, lovely fellow! I have also met the F1 drivers Jim Clark, a really lovely man and Nigel Mansell, not a lovely man! Oh, nearly forgot Frank Kelly, who among many other roles was Father Jack in "Father Ted". But we are related so that doesn't really count, lol.
I can't believe I forgot her! I met Amy Winehouse in The Lanesborough hotel in London in Feb last year. She was lovely and absolutely tiny.
I've seen Vinnie Jones a few times. He goes to the country shows. Met Peter Beardsley in Disneyland. Met Sid Owen in Thailand. Seen Noddy Holder in the airport.

Not sure anyone would know the Irish presenter Henry Kelly, we were in a London pub, couldn't stand his irritating voice, just like Wogan in love with himself.
I met the Beatles and the Maharishi Yogi when I was about 13 or 14 - they were in a parked car as my friend, my friend's little 9 year old sister and I were walking home after seeing them arriving at the station. John Lennon wound the window down and gave the little sister a huge bunch of flowers. She wouldn't part with even one of them!! Best of it is, she doesn't even remember now.
more recent than above THINK saw Les Dennis, around time he'd been in CBB but might have been mistaken
Bobby Charlton many years ago. Freddie Flintoff. John Parrot. Claire Balding. Then from the racing world - Dick Francis. Ginger McCain (lots of times). Paul Nichols. Nigel Twiston- Davies (lots of times). Carl Llewelyn (lots of times). Paddy Brennan (lots of times). Robbie Fowler. Steve Mcmanaman. Lord and Lady Oaksey. Richard Pitman. A P McCoy. I see lots of other jockeys and trainers but they're all the ones I have actually met.
reggie and ronnie kray bought me and my pop group band a drink for playing
" apache" in the marshall keate pub, isle of dogs in the early 60's. we didn't actually know who they were, but they walked in and half the customers disappeared. after they left the missus of the pub said " you must have played alright, they didn't shoot you" . The next time we saw them they were knocking the poo out of some young lads in a pub called the "Gin Palace"
( not its real name, but thats what the locals called it) at the entrance to blackwell tunnel. one more name drop here, our drummer was Roberta Taylors ( inspector gold, the bill)first husband, and their first and only child spent His first christmas sleeping in a drawer in my house in Walthamstow
( we never had a cot, so made a comfy bed in the draw) and I met Her new partner the other day, peter guinness, a real smashing bloke.
