Don't know about Find My Past, but I've done it on Ancestry with no problems, except getting hooked on genealogy! If you have a selection of email addresses and can alter your home address by a letter or so, you can have 14 days quite a few times.

Brilliant thanks cc1 so do you recommend Ancestry.com then and will it be the same info as a paying member see's? cheers
ooh thats sneaky cc1 i might try that :-)
sorry kev 02k7 i shouldve said ive tried ancestry it was a while ago but as far as i remember you had access to everything a standard member could see
You will get access to the UK collections except the 1911 (I think) BUT you have to be sharp at not taking up the subscription after 14 days or they will charge your card.

You can have the full world wide ancestry option for £18 a month and that is flexible so that you can cancel any month, no tie in. With findmypast also, your debit card is how they identify you and you will not be able to use the same card for more than one 14 day trial.
