how old are your kids?
Question Author
13 and 6 not a good combo anyhow lol x
just put some decent coats on them get some brollys and frog march them over a field get some wellys !!!!!!!!!!!!!! knacker them out
It makes no difference whether your kids are tired or not, send them to bed at a set time, even if they sit in bed and read. You can't allow them to just go to bed when they deem it is time to do so.
Your partner is right to be a bit peeved if they stay up till the same time as you.

av tried that but 6 yr old is soooooooooooooooo freeking lazy and 13 old just wants to go on xbox.........................................
....................
I have never met a lazy 6 year old! Besides, if you tell them they are going on a walk with you that's what they're doing, don't stand for any nonsense!
put your foot down !!!!!!!!!!!!!! tell them they have no choice !!! they will probably kick up a fuss but once out will enjoy it, its not healthy for kids to be cooped up all the time
You need to put your foot down! It sounds like the kids are the ones in charge in your home. Tell the 13 year old that he will lose his xbox priveleges altogether if he doesn't do as he's told. The 6 year old can be threatened with loss of TV priveleges etc.
Why should the rain stop your kids going out and enjoying themselves send them out in it, let them get wet and muddy and wear themselves out, they'll enjoy it at that age (even more so if you moan at them for getting muddy :))
Question Author
i know thanks guys ............but the age gap makes it hard cos one does not want to do what the other wants.......but i do hear what your saying and maybe its me stuck in a no money cant be assed mode hahaha

Lushar. My boys are 6 and 13! My eldest one is off out with friends now, at the park playing footy and just socialising...not sitting around! i would not let him. I think of them as two little doggies that need daily exercise to house a healthy body and mind. I have been out in all weathers, believe me..and today we are going to a large park where a group of us has organised to meet. ( I hate all that school mums stuff but it has to be done!) I know at the end of the day..they'll feel better, I'll feel better and my duty will have been done and my motherly responsibility will be filled!! Now off to make some sandwiches...*yawn* !!
Oh and tell your boyfriend to bloody grow up and stop sulking too!
Seconded.
Boo knows - she's good.
Question Author
