What are the current laws on these, are they still legal? I heard that you could have these in the home but not in the garden or on the street with you. So how do you get them home after buying them and what if you want to take them to a friends to show them and you get caught carrying?

i believe one of the main new laws regarding these weapons, certainly air powered, is they cant be purchased mail order, only by collection in person with identification.

(a) was in the course of carrying on any trade or business; and
(b) was for the purpose of making the imitation firearm in question available to be modified in a way which would result in its ceasing to be a realistic imitation firearm.

you can carry an airgun in public only if it is cased so as to make it impossible to fire it and you have a good reason for doing so.

I have three replica western guns, one is a blank firer and a replica Winchester Rifle. All are legal but must not be carried in public in such a way as to cause alarm.
