Charged with ABH but cant remember hitting her
Hi All,
I have been charged with ABH going crown court next week, for hitting my ex partner.
Me and my ex partner got in to a heated arguement a couple months back which led to me packing my belongings and wanting to get out. I packed my clothes and went downstairs to pack my TV and all the other electrical goods i paid for. While i was on the ground dismantling my stuff i was hit over the head dozens of times by her with the dvd player, subwoofer, home theatre speakers my ps3 and so many other things. Basic instinct is to hit back if you have been hit but i can only remember sitting on the ground and being hit on the head that night and not fighting back with her.
I was arrested the next morning at my parents house and taken in for questioning, there i found out i was being charged with ABH. I told them i didnt hit her and that i was the victim but they told me she had a bruise and a cut on her lip and a tooth which she took out because i punched her.
This is where my story twists 2 years ago i was mugged by guys who beat me to a pulp for my watch and my bag, with poles, bottles and a crow bar. How do i know i was beaten up with a crow bar, the police officer at the scene wrote on his report i had a crow bar hanging from the left side of my head. I was taken to hospital woke up after 3 days with severe head injuries, wheel chair bound for the next 2 weeks.
When i left hospital after 3 weeks i realised i couldnt remember things about myself i was suffering from memory loss, it was so bad i couldnt remember what date was my ex partners birthday.
Im thinking about going to court and pleading guilty to hitting her but the only problem is i am having problems with coming to terms with pleading guilty because i dont remember if i hit her and if i do plead guilty then i plead guilty to all the other stuff she has put on her statement, which makes me sound like an animal.

I cant remember if i hit her i couldnt put all the facts down previously because i can only put a maximum of 2000 words.
My friend that collected me is not a witness as of yet but his details was passed on to the police which they decided not to follow up but i have already wrote about the officer to the IPCC. My friends details has been passed on to my defence and a statement has been given to them, there was also a conversation that took place between my sister and my ex where she said she wanted me to be locked up no mention of me hitting her
