hi is someone has died and left a will is there a time limit for you to send it to probate please thanks

The answer is as long as it takes. However after one year the beneficiaries have the right to start getting uppity if the executor has no good reason not to have finished

And some wills never go to probate at all - depends on what property, etc, the deceased has left

If you post a bit more about your own circumstances you might get some rather less vague advice
Yes, it's known as the "Executors' Year"

Assets are generally not required to be distributed before the end of one year, and interest is only paid on the legacy after one year.
