Anyne work in a call centre, theres soem jobs going at a call centre who deal with motor insurance, i was thinking of applying but was unsure whether to bother,

i think you have to be accurate in a call centre,spelling should be correct.
Only work in a call centre if you are absolutely desperate for the money. They are basically all the same inasmuch as they have to meet the clients requirements with regard to average call handling time, call quality &c, that it can become a nightmare. The supervisors are under the same pressure. Been there, done that, got the T-shirt.

well im desperate to get out of my current job of minimum wage and the jobs ive seen for call centre work are alot more than what im on now,

Working in a call centre can be ok as far as jobs go.

If selling isn't your thing though, find out before you go if you're required to also sell products/services to customers as well as helping them with their enquiries.

If you can handle being treated like a cretin by the vast majority of the general public, and take what they say with a pinch of salt, and silently give them the V as they're screaming at you, go for it. It's not that bad.
