I am a member of a trade union in order to have legal representaton if ,for example. I was accused of misconduct. Increasingly I find I don't agree with the unions politics so I'd like to resign. Is there a free standing legal expenses policy I could buy? There is a policy attached to my home insurance but naturally(?) it excludes legal fees in cases of misconduct . I have unsuccessfully serached the internet. Thanks

I wouldn't know who was any good and who would just be on the ball re car & house insurance
Strikes me that a representation in cases of misconduct isn't the most useful assurance to have. How many times have you been hauled in over the last 5 years for this, then? Unless one is a serial truant or misbehaver, this is a solution for a problem most people just don't have.
