Facebook friend invitation....

I receive quite a few friend invitations for Facebook, but one I've just declined is from a fella in India! How & why the hell would he be inviting me, as I've never even heard of him.

I looked on his friends list & none of my family or friends are on there.

Do you have any apps ? i used to get alot of people trying to add my from pet society.... think they have fixed most of the apps now though so it is only people on your friends lists but guessing someone could slip through.

I've had people ask me to be their friend and as I have quite an uncommon first and surname I just ignore them unless they are from where I grew up and then I send them a message asking them how they know me (I have an awful memory for names!).

I have rec'd a few before which I've ignored, as some of them just happen to know friends of mine & they want to add me to their list, but I don't accept people I don't really know - too many to keep up with as it is!

Oh well, perhaps he just liked my photo & profile!

i have facebook ,mostly friends family and people i went to school with ,i can't just see them when i want so it is a good way to talk to them ,i also have a 2 people i don't know and probably will never meet both are from this site

The daft farmville things are just that, daft. You get them because thick people fall for the scams offering this that and the other IF they invite all their friends. I have dumped every one of my friends who did this to me.

I understand how it appeals to some people with the time to devote to it Postdog, my daughter is stuck at home and does use her facebook an awful lot, but i tend to ind 200 or 300 posts to go through when i go on there.

I have facebook and I have 'friends' I've never met.. but I'm also a single mother so can't go out and meet 'real' people... and the 'friends' include Sallabanans (who I love!), unrulyjulie (who is adorable) and MightyWBA (who will be one of my next husbands... not that he knows that!!(hands off Maxie!!)) and lots of others.. it's nice to have a social life within my own home..
