Does it make one iota of difference, whether or not this person is a member of the BNP, Labour Party, Conservative Party or even Communist Party, she is teaching ballet, which has nothing to do with her politics?

Regarding her teaching children as young as 3, does it make these children at risk in any way?

At the time anti-fascist demonstrators disrupted a performance of Giselle at the London Coliseum in which Miss Clarke, who was dubbed the 'BNP ballerina', took the starring role.

Those anti-fascist demonstrators again !!!!!! pathetic.

I guess it depends on whether her political views spill into her every day work. would she treat all the kids the same, regardless of race and colour?

If she was found to do such a thing, then there are laws that could be put into force, and she would soon find herself, out on her ear.

You could say if she was black would she treat white kids the same as black kids.
well yes, but only if she were known to have extreme views.. as this woman obviously has.
Depends on whether she's able to leave her politics at the classroom door. Don't know the woman, but generally speaking, political extremists aren't particularly good at compartmentilzing their lives.

Would she treat all the kids, whatever their background, equally?

If I were a betting man, I'd go with "probably not". But that's just guesswork on my part.

All parties have extremist views.

Have the BNP ever invaded a foreign country?
I don't think many ballet teachers have invaded a country. what's your point?
Why not ban teachers who are members of any poitical party. Or is it just the BNP members that should be banned.
If she gives all the children in her care equal attention and encouragement what does it matter who she votes for?

??????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
I don't believe it, how can anyone give such a stupid answer?

Ballet teacher a member of the BNP, whose parties extremist views which have never included invading a foreign country, might have an effect on the children she teaches.

Can not be worse than a

Ballet teacher who may belong to any other democratic appointed political party, whose extreme views include invading a foreign country, which would have a more dramatic effect on quite a number of children.

Yeeps it is like teaching 3 year olds.
The point about a black teacher treating white kids differently is spurious. If the black teacher was a member of an extremist political party whose basis is to treat people diffferently solely based on their racial background, then the point would be valid.

However, there is no political party in this country which has been set up by blacks, to promote blacks to the exclusion of all other races.
Regarding my last point I await with baited breath for the inevitable 'what about the Association of Black Police Officer' post.

It's 12:14 now...my money is that we'll get that post before 12:30.

You have lost your money again sp.

No need they are a protected species, more than be said for the whites

If we ask for rights we are classed as racist, Nazis, members of the Far Right or any other handle they wish to tie on us to stifle our protests.

A question I have always wanted to ask is this: How is it that the Scottish can have a Scottish Nationalist Party, yet we are accused of belonging to the far right if we want a Nationalist Party, ideally an English Nationalist Party (open to all Englishmen & women whatever their colour) that sounds good, but eh! the existing English Democratic Party are also labelled the far right.

Be interesting to receive some answers to this one.

I would be very annoyed if I sent my little girl along to learn plies and found she'd actually been learning to goosestep.

The reason why people are labelled Nazis when they openly support the BNP is down to the BNP themselves.

Try putting NICK GRIFFIN HOLOCAUST into Google and reading what his opinion is.

Furthermore, the 2002 Channel 4 documentary Young, Nazi and Proud featured hidden-camera footage of the then BNP youth leader Mark Collett stating his admiration for Adolf Hitler, and stating "I'd never say this on camera, the Jews have been thrown out of every country including England. It's not just persecution. There's no smoke without fire."

On Russell Brand's 2002 TV show RE:Brand, Mark Collett described homosexuals as "AIDS Monkeys", "bum bandits" and "faggots". As seen on the documentary, Young, Nazi and Proud, Collett said that he considered AIDS a “friendly disease because blacks, drug users and gays have it."

I believe that this is the reason people don't want their kids mixing with those who have views like that. No-one wants to see the minds of the next generation polluted.
With regards to your assertion that blacks are 'a protected species', I should ask you to ask yourself 'protected from what'

Race relations laws were passed in order to stamp out overt racism from whites.

Similarly laws have had to be passed to ensure the rights of women in the workplace.

Laws have been passed to defend the rights of disabled people.

Laws have been passed to end discrimination based on sexuality.

The reason why there have been no specific laws passed to protect white abled bodied males is because they're the ones discriminating in the first place!

(Not ALL white able bodied males, by any degree...but enough of them to make the above laws inevitable).
Have we any evidence at all that this young lady is transferring her Political views to the classroom and if the answer is NO then I cannot see a problem.

I would be far more worried if a religious teacher was transferring HER philosophies to my children......cue in Catholic and Church of England schools.
Whilst not wishing to get too involved in the question, I must take issue with sp:

“The reason why there have been no specific laws passed to protect white abled bodied males is because they're the ones discriminating in the first place!

This seems to suggest that white people are solely and exclusively responsible for discrimination. And that is a little bold.

Among the worst practitioners of racism are black Africans (all of whom seem to have a gripe of some sort against black Africans from any other nation than their own); Asians (Pakistanis dislike Indians simply because they are Indian), Afro-Caribbean blacks (who seem to dislike Africans because they are African). I could go on.

To see how such discrimination works in the UK, try and find an “Indian” restaurant which employs staff other than those with an Indian or Bangladeshi background. Try finding a Chinese restaurant with any non-Chinese staff. Then try finding an English restaurant where only English people work. Yes, I know most English people “will not” undertake such menial tasks. But ask yourself why there are no hard working Poles, Russians, Greeks or Latvians working in Indian or Chinese Restaurants, as they seem to be quite capable of working in most other areas of the hospitality industry..

Racial discrimination is by no means the exclusive preserve of white people. Far from in, in fact.
I've seen non-Chinese staff in Chinese restaurants, it is a minority and it is a good analogy.
Although I imagine the reason is more innocuous, the chefs at these restaurants tend not to speak English.
Black on black racism is endemic and the racial tensions are high within other groups too.
I think she has the right to do her job provided she doesn't bring her personal views to the class room.
