I doubt whether you will be able to return it. It doesn't matter that you have changed your mind and realised that you can't afford it, you entered into a contract and may not be able to get out of it without paying.

To claim on the insurance for your lost phone, you need to ring the insurance company. You must have been given some paperwork when you got the phone, if not go back to the phone shop.
Did you get it online? What network are you on?

If you bought it online you will be able to cancel within 14 days, but it depends whether you can get your replacement in that time or not.
If you need to cancel the contract, you need to call your service provider. You can make request to them to cancel it.But they will ask termination fee .By this way,you can cancel it.But if they will ask you to wait for long time otherwise refuses to cancel the contract, you can better use online site to unlock it.If you need an unlock code to unlock your mobile phone from the network lock,I would suggest you to get it from http://www.theunlockarena.com/supported-phones/rs13wp7/ at reasonable price. Then you can use any network service provider in it.But you need to pay the pending fee still contract over.
