this is going to sound incredibly stupid but 3 months ago i order some tablets for acne off a website (i was desperate)they cost me quite a bit of money,- anyhow, they didnt come so i emailed the company who were very quick to get back to me to ask apologise, they offered to to refund or reship, i chose to reship. Each time (x3) the tablets never came so i emailed asking for a refund and they said unfortunately they dont refund my kind of card anymore (visa!) and offered to reship once again. Now i know the tablets aren't going to come and i am very very stupid for ordering them in the 1st place and i know i've lost my money, but i don't want people to make the same mistake as i did and lose their money. Is there some kind of body i can report this particular website to? or do they continue to con people like myself who are just seeking a remedy to their acne. Any advice would be greatly received.

contact your credit card company as they may be able to help and go to the doctors for acne advise.
I agree with Hawkwalk, well the credit card company bit. I would expect that they would refund you. I would also contact Trading Standards for your area and if the company is based in this country the police.
The only other way of warning people is to use the web sites like "money saving expert" and the like.

Can you post the website link here. I'll check to see where it is hosted. If it is a fake, I'll stick it in another forum I belong to and someone there will bring it down.

Did you use a credit card or just a visa debit card?

Where were they shipped from? Could they have got stopped for some reason?

hi, thanks for all your replies, i am EXTREMELY grateful to you all, especially barmaid. To barmaid- the website is called www.edfriends.org back it actually looks legit and it promises a money back guarantee. I'm afraid i might be a bit naive. Stupidly i used my visa debit because i dont have a credit card. Unbelievably i'm usually so careful with my money!!!! I could understand if one package of tablets was stopped but they've supposedly been shipped 3 times so............. who knows?!!
A simple goole search says it all I'm afraid, just put edfriends.org in google and it comes up with all kind of scam warnings.

always worth checking on sites prior to ordering " sadly to late to offer this for you but maybe for future purposes "
