I owe 6000 to Egg and after taking advice from CCCS have written to Egg offering token payments until I am able to clear the debt.

Egg have ignored letters and emails and are constantly phoning asking for more information. I have written to ask them to remove my contact phone numbers which I am legally entitled to do but this has been ignored and have now reported them to the Financial Ombudsman.

I have been told there is a legal maximum number of calls per day Egg can make to try and contact me. Does anyone know what this number is or where I can find more information. Many thanks in advance!

If you want to make token payments you must co-operate with Egg.

Have you sent them a breakdown of all your incomings and outgoings so they can see you genuinely can't pay more?

There is good information here:

Thanks for your reply and the link to money saving expert.

I have written to EGG explaining my financial situation and have sent them a financial statement after speaking to CCCS and offering them a tempory payment until my situation improves and have asked them to reply by letter and not by phone.

They have ignored that letter and keep phoning and I have now asked them to remove my phone numbers as I am only prepaired to be contacted by post. This request has been ignored. I have now reported them to the Financial Ombudsman as they keep on calling.

I am quite prepaired to co-operate with EGG but by post only not by phone. I am getting about 15 calls per day from them.

Ive been told there is a maximum number of calls they can make per day but cannot find out what that maximum is.
can you unplug your phone and then just plug it in when you want to make calls

Unfortunatly one of the numbers they call is my mobile which I have to have on as its a work contact number.
Eggg earlier this year stopped their card users running up anymore debt due to excessive spending.
Too many users were only paying the minimum paym, ent , and egg needed the cash sooner.
Sadly if you run up card debt you will have to make an agreement that suits the card company not just yourself.

They never made you use it .
they are really ringing you fifteen times a day?
Change your mobile number?
