My neighbour put holes in my car with a screwdriver for no reason at all. He was seen doing it and the police were called, i have now been informed that no more action will be taken against him and i dont even know if he has to pay for it be fixed. Does anybody know anything about criminal damage?

i know it doesnt help you now but you try your local C.A.B.
They offer free advice and in most you can have half an hour free with a solicitor.even if you cant do anything you will know where you stand
If no more action is going to be taken then chances are that the CPS have decided that it does not meet the threshold test, either because it is not in public interest to pursue due to expense etc or as there is not enough evidence to make it likely that a prosecution is possible. Go to C.A.B or contact victim support, they can probably give you information on the any money you are entitled to.
