My friends son aged 19 was arrested on Saturday night for taking having posession of a small amount of Ketamine. (about 5.00 worth by all accounts)

It is his first offence and he has been Part IV bailed to appear back at the Police Station in June.

What might be the likely outcome.

Any help would be gratefully received.

Thanks a million

It is likely that if he has no previous convictions, has admitted the offence and the amount for his own use....he may well get a formal police caution.
If he kicked off or was unhelpful, he may get charged to court, then it's likely to get a fine.

Thanks for that Monty. You are a star. I will phone him today and tell him this.

He didnt kick off at the station but DID say that he was a dancer (he is) and asked if he could have a bigger cell to practice his dance routine for a show that night.

They couldnt get rid of him quick enough !

thanks for your advice honey.

Most appreciated.

You don't seem too bothered that your son's taking horse tranquilisers, I must say.

Mamjet. If it were MY son then of course I would be 'bothered'. However, what the 19 year old son of my friends does is not my business although it IS of concern to me since that is why I posted on here in the first place.

If you read and read my posts thoroughly you will note that I have a daughter - and did in fact start the thread with MY FRIENDS son.

Thank you for your concern at my lack of concern regardless.

Have a great day.

Ah okay. So as long as it's not your son he can dance himself into an early grave - gotcha.

Mamjet. You do make me laugh.

Thanks. So how did his show go?
Question Author
he was performing in Grimsby and quite well I think.

You know what kids are like these days Mamjet, they are daft and will try anything. I would die if my daughter took it.
