The housing association in my area are refurbishing the eastate,eg.new kitchens, bathrooms rewireing and new gas fires. The horror stories from the neighbours who have had this done is scarey. One lady had a new leather suit covered in plaster and broke the arm of the suit, the contractors say they are not responsable for any damages. The question i ask is Can i draw up a home made contract that states that any and all damages to my property are the contractors full responabilty.

This type of work demands the room be cleared before the work is done.

all the work is done in a matter of days there is no real way of clearing any rooms as contractors are working side by side, plummers, gas fitters, electricians ect we have to leave our house at 7.30am on one of the days so that the full rewireing can be done.
