Whenever my iPod is connected to my computer, it permanantly displays the "Do Not Disconnect" symbol, even after being left connected for hours overnight.. Is this normal? Am I damaging it when I disconnect it? Any help gratefully received.

Headtime - I am fairly sure that it does not damage it but if you are unsure, click the little eject icon next to ipod(iTunes), it will disconnect but still carry on charging if you are connected by firewire. If you want to find out more information about your ipod I recommend www.ipodlounge.com . I hope this helps.

Cheers Tony. I had tried the eject button but to no avail, I'll head on over to ipod lounge. Ta
It could be as simple as the fact you might have "enable disk use" ticked in i-pod options. I've just unticked mine & the ipod menu re-appeared.

Thank you deetyork, It actually works OK now for some reason. Cheers

Whenever my ipod comes on all that shows on the screen is a folder next to a caution sign with an exclamation point on it. Then it resets itself and keeps doing that or it freezes. Whenever I hook it up to my computer all it says is Do Not Disconnect and it slows down my computer a lot. What should I do?
