Can I force my business partner to sell me his 40% shareholding in our Limited Company?

I have a 60% shareholding and I am the only Director in my Ltd Co. My business partner (Co Secretary) holds 40%. I want to take 100% control of the company but we cannot agree a valuation. Can I force him to sell his shares to me and at what price?

no,you cant force him to sell to you, he or she will want to obtain the best possible price for their share and if thats not agreeable to you then you have stalemate.
