my daughter was in a car accident as a passenger
her friend has asked her not to claim off her insurance
as the people in the other cars ( 5 people have claimed)

reason is she states her insurance premium rises the higher her claim is this correct or would there be a ceiling on the amount her premium will rise

that is total rubbish,her premium will rise by just a percentage,not based on how much they pay out,if she was injured in the accident,she should claim.if she has a ncb of say 40%,ie 4 yrs,she could lose say 20/30%,6 people claiming instead of 5 would not make any difference
