hi there, wonder if you can advise me, i am currently with an estate agent and want to cancel, they ask for 4 weeks written notice, but say there contact is for a minimum of 16 weeks, if i write to cancel now giving them actually 17 weeks am i within my legal rights??? they only say that there could be a maxium of 20 weeks and a mimimum of 16 weeks, but it does not imply you could not cancel beween 16 and 20 weeks....

yes you can send them notice now (at 13 weeks) to ensure you can get out of the contract in 4 weeks time
