although my daughter has comprehensive cover on her car,she is allowing her partner to drive it.As he has no insurance of his own,and is not on her policy, what penalties will she face,if he is stopped by the police,or has an accident?
Unless it has been increased recently. the maximum fine for causing or permitting him to drive without insurance is 5000. The court will put betwen 6 and 8 points on her licence. They also have the power to disqualify for any period and/or order a re-test. Also, she may have priced herself out of the market next time she wants to renew her insurance.
I agree with everything you have said.I am just hoping that if my daughter reads this, she will take notice of you all, because she isnt listening to me.I think she belives I'm just being dramatic.
