im a single mother living in a two bedroom flat. My daughter is aged 9 and my son is aged 6. At the moment they share a bedroom. is the allowed

Yes I think it is till your first born turns ten
For the purpose of overcrowding in rented accommodation -

it is allowed, until the youngest reaches ten.

However, when the youngest reaches 10, this will be classed as 'natural growth' and will not be considered overcrowding.

If you become uncomfortable with them sharing a room, your daughter will have to share with you.
