can someone please advise me,if i have a loan & credit cards under my mother's address and dont pay them,what happens???? can debt collectors take my mother's possessions...is this legal?? even if im not there no more

If the debts are in your name, then no, they can't take your mothers possessions.

But they will eventually catch up with you, even if you have moved more than once. I know, I've been there.

so will she get people come round,but they cant take anything???

She might not get people coming round if she tells them you no longer live there or starts returning any post 'Not Known At This Address'. My parents never had visits from anyone after me, suppose it depends on who and how much you owe.

If Baliffs do turn up, they can't take another person's possessions, only yours. On the other hand, your debt will increase because you'll get bailiffs charges on top of everything else.

Can't you speak to someone at the CAB or one of the Debt Management Companies, less hassle and worry than all this surely.
