hi there im currently on 40mg citaolpram for depression, i stupidly took an overdose of them recently and im wondering if i have to tell my employer about this?... they know im on anti depressants, and have supported my fully but i need to know if i have to tell them by law, thanks

No, you don't have to tell them - it's a doctor-patient matter only at the moment. You may need to disclose it (voluntarily) if you were applying for a new job (or different job with the same firm), but you have no obligation to disclose this. Talk to your GP for further advice.

peachy - are you currently on sick leave?

If so, you may be obliged to tell your employer, especially if you have been or expect to be off sick for some time, and it is mentioned in your medical notes.

hi in a pickle-... i had to let my employer know, as it was really affecting my work...... eg when i have my bad days they give me 10 mins to get over it, and/or let me away home... etc...
