someone has run a black and white cat over and put him pretty near my doorstop. I think whoever did it must have thought it was my Gizmo ,as I did when i just went to bring the bins back in.

I have put the cat in a box but I dont know what to do with it? I dont really want to go knocking dorr to door with the box but what else can i do?

Oh, how upsetting :(
I would put the body in a cool dark place and go knocking door-to-door without the box.

Nope! Problem solved had to go get my youngest early from nursery and ran into a neighbour. As soon as she the cat she knew whose it was so she has taken it and is gonna give it back later.
Phew. I do worry about her as our road is a major traffic short cut and she's always a wandering.
People are sh1ts though to just leave it there. I'd be absolutely devastated.
there is nothing worse than something happening to your cat and it vanishes. I remember as a child roaming the area asking for help in finding our cat. We never found him.
Some old c*** where I used to live used to put down poison for birds, our cats would catch the drowsy birds and suffer a horrible death.

Some people just don't understand how important pets are.

The guy died recently and I did a little dance of glee in my head.
my brother is not at all interested in cats or dogs. One day he was on his way to work in his car, he saw a dead cat on the road. The road wasn't busy so he stopped and moved the cat to the side of the road.

Even he recognised the importance of leaving the cat somewhere the owner might find it, instead of flattened on the road. He knew how upset I would have been had it been one of my furball killing machines.

Having said that - my late cat hated my brother. He would hiss and spit at him and then run and hide until he left the house. The feelings were mutual I think.
