I get my sofas from my dad as he is an upholsterer, but I have 2 friends each of them bought a sofa from DFS and have had major problems with the products and customer services.
Unfortunately you get what you pay for. DFS cut their costs by using low quality manufacturers who can make a sofa look like it costs 1000 but in reality wears like it cost 300. I have had a DFS sofa before and the cusions lasted less than four months before they collapsed and lost their shape. DFSs answer was that the cusions need to be beaten/fluffed up every day. I will never touch a DFS sofa again.
I've not lond ago bought a leather DFS sofa and the service was brilliant, delivered on time as promised, very helpful staff and the leather quality is VERY GOOD on this sofa!!!

Good luck with your sofa shopping!!!
my friend brought a sofa from dfs on a buy now pay later offer and it had actually wore up before she even started paying for it! She had real problems with their customer service department. i think they are a waste of time.
just an after thought - what about land of leather they have good deals advertised in paper?? but i have no experience of them.
Land of leather are the worst, they apparently split the leather so it goes further and ends up very thin and terrible quality.

Friends of mine have had problems non stop with their delivery and customer service and had to cancel their order in the end
I have a terrible experience of DFS, but not relevant to you really. I'm a postman, and every so often they flood the area with mailshots to every house.

On a more serious note though, I've known someone buy one on credit, and before they even started paying for it, they ended up having to get a new one (yeah, they went elswehere for that)
bought mine from debenhams, superb quality and service, one thing too remember is some places have no return policy so if it does not fit through the door, tough, hence so many cheap sofa's in the free ads, but debenhams have a 28 day return
My mother-in-law got a sofa from land of leather and it was ruined within weeks. The support went, the leather ripped and the recliner stuck. THey accused her of letting children play on it!!! She is a 5? yr old living on her own. After weeks of calls, letters and visits to the shop they agreed to replace it and the following day they took the sofa away... leaving her with nothing to sit on for another 10weeks.....only for the new one to rip too!!
Regardless of where you buy it from, have a look at the Ekornes brand - the quality is first class. The individually reclining seats are an especially useful feature.
We already have good quality leather sofas in our lounge but needed a new sofa for our summer room. We looked at lots of leather sofas and decided that DFS was the best for value and choice of styles.

The service was excellent and delivery spot on time.

We did go for their more expensive range and only time will tell if it really lasts. However always remember the old maxim you only get what you pay for.
