As a beneficiary of a will are you entitled to know all the details, including how much inheritance tax has been paid and the final amount paid out.

If you are a beneficiary of residue you should be provided with a copy of the estate accounts showing how the estate has been dealt with.

If you are a beneficiary of a specific amount or item of property, you are not entitled to see the estate account in ordinary circumstances.

Thanks Barmaid. In this instance there was no will so presumably the beneficiaries will each get a copy of the final account.
Yes the administrator of the estate should provide all the beneficiaries entitled under intestacy with a copy of the accounts.
