The law states that anyone who has been charged with an offence (other than with the most serious of offences, such as murder) has an automatic right to bail unless a court is of the opinion that, for example, the accused person would commit a further offence, interfere with witnesses or fail to turn up for a court hearing.

As your ex has already been granted bail by a court, such bail would normally be extended unless evidence was brought before the court to show that there was now a risk that wasn't known about before.

So the chances are that your ex will remain on bail until the date of his trial.
