Lidl's Côtes du Rhône is extremely quaffable and, at £3.99 per bottle, very good value.

However it's on offer at just £2.99 tomorrow, so those of you who are impecunious (or simply stingy) lovers of the grape might care to buy a bottle of two.

(The offer theoretically carries over into Sunday but, based upon past experience, they'll probably sell out of stock by teatime tomorrow).

Don't know if it was a trial run, but a Lidls in the big city near me were selling this a few weeks ago at that price. Strategical placed right by the entrance.
