hiya pink - you legally have to be 18 to get a tattoo (UK laws)  parental consent at 16 will not effect this.  No self respecting tattooist will do it at 16, they'll send you packing till you are 18
If I was you I'd forget about the tattoo and return to school to improve your English!!!!
Buttons is exactly right - also tattoos do hurt, it's done with needles!  Unless you're prepared for some pain my advice is to not have one.
Tatoos are great and when you have spent a great deal of time planning your design, reasearching and thinking about them, they are a great asset. I am going to get my third in a couple of weeks and I am very excited. The pain is not bad at all although your lower back is more sentitive than many other places.

I can put you in contact with the guy who designs and does all of mine, he wont tattoo you till you are eighteen but maybe you can talk to him about it and go down and visit his (or any other) shop.

Whatever you do dont take it lightly and only get done exactly what you want and when you want it cos you will be stuck with it for life.

Remember when you were 10 and all the clothes that you were probably desperate to wear all the time, maybe dressing up as a princess or something seemed like the best idea at the time. Can you imagine having to wear those clothes now every day for the rest of your life.

That is a tattoo, think really hard!! good luck

Hi Pink,

I'd leave the tattoo for a while because once you've got it you're stuck with it.  Wait a few years and if you still want one make sure it's something that really means something to you - not just some drawing that someone else has come up with.

I got one on my lower back when I was 22 and I'm just glad that I hardly ever get to see it.

Agree with all of the above... I got one at the top of my back when I was 18 & I really wish I'd thought it through a bit more.
