I am currently making an online multiplayer game where the proceeds will go towards developing a way african civilians can benefit from crypto currencies by using text messages. This will be after my wage has been taken as the site admin and the cost of making the site. Will I be able to use a .org web site and also do I have to register it as a non profit organisation or anything?

.org domain names are just the same as .com or .co.uk - you only need purchase it then you can point to whatever is on your host server. For example you could register ukanonymous.org with godaddy for about £7 per year (I checked and it is available).

I have already registered one but is there any rules about what you actually use it for? For an example can you use it for a game
Yes, you can do what you like with it (i.e. anything you could do on a .com or a .co.uk).
Question Author
Ok because I thought it was only for non profit organizations? I am wrong then
Yep, you're wrong. That was the intent back at the start of time ... but it didn't turn out that way in practice.
