The problem is I have been refused a taxi license due to this offence and now I am appealing this decision in court .. I am a reformed character it was a one off offence how can I win this appeal I need it to fund my degree ? The council said they are happy to consider me in august however that will be too late Help please thanks !!

The people you no who got the ESTA did they declare the offences ? And what were the offences for ?
Now, now, Masterq. You are a reformed character and wouldn't dream of lying to the US authorities on an official form.

Offourse I wouldn't :) ... But back to the court appeal what is a good way of showing my reformation ? I did find money at work about 2 months ago and handed it to my store manager but obviously I don't want my store manager to no about the whole situation.
You say you have a solicitor? He should know all the tricks and spins.
Why are you not accepting advice from the many posters who have given you answers to your problem?

You will not win your appeal, because the Council would be in serious trouble if they granted you a license, and you committed another offence.
So accept it!

Sorry for the delay.
Both the people who did and did not get their ESTAs did NOT declare their criminal records. The one who got his ESTA refused had been found guilty of common assault eleven years previous to his ESTA application. He had been fined but no jail sentence was given. His Visa was granted following an interview at the US embassy, London.
