Am I Divorced?

I live in Spain and my ex in Scotland. We were married in Scotland. We have been separated for several years. I had heard that she has divorced me. How can I check this before I spend money trying to do it from here?

As you know Scottish law varies from English/Welsh law, in Scotland divorce is initiated by writ (sheriff court) or Summons (court of sessions) if you know if the simplified procedure was used and at which court for a fee the court will provide you with a copy of the divorce. If you had an address in Scotland details would have been provided to that address or you may have success with the National Archives of Scotland.
I would suggest you do not remarry until you are sure you are divorced.
