"Q. Can I have a hole in the wall gas fire without a hearth?
A. Yes, certain gas fires have been specifically tested and approved, for installation without a hearth. However strict installation guidelines must be followed and adhered to, including minimum distances from the floor as this varies from manufacturer to manufacturer. We would recommend that you check the technical requirements for installation of any such appliances in detail, before purchasing them from our website."
