Every time I use it, I have to wait for all the photos and links to load up. It must be the worse web site going for that. Come on Ed, get it sorted!

Just noticed; there's room further down for more ads and links. How soon before that's filled?

Is there a program that will block out all this stuff? People on here are quick enough to block me out whenever I mention PMT.

Eh?

Could it be your browser that's struggling? As AB at my end zips along like a zippy thing the same as other sites.
No problem loading links for us, clarion - I suspect it's your browser.

Mine's fine.
My AB is also pretty zippy. The only time I ever really notice it slowing up a bit is if I look at mammy's music threads and that's only cause it's waiting for all the youtube links to load... and even then it's not annoyingly slow.
Mine also zips along, no problems.

Dont mention add blockers, Ed. dont like them things, He has got mouths to feed you know.
And remember, it's a free site!

S'not, you have to pay with your soul.
OH how quickly we all forget the days of dial up internet....
LOL chuck, I don't, it took me ages to get brave enough to peg into broadband....
Which browser are you using at the moment 10ClarionSt?
He may have typed the question last week.
I like cheerful threads like these :)
Haven't any of you got a gnome to go to - it's well past Gin o'Clock
I have this problem on a few websites that are heavy on podcasts and so forth, but very seldom on AB. Could it just be a problem with your computer generally?
There is a general problem that browsers are getting heavier and the ads are getting richer as everyone gets better systems/computers - so if you happen to be a late adopter you might experience some slowness.
ohhhhhhhhhhhh, that explains it! I have a loan laptop with no adblock, and the sites been at a crawl for me.
Or try this version; http://m.theanswerbank.co.uk/ChatterBank/Question1238451.html (which is the one I am using currently)
OMG, that looks weird!!
It's for mobiles, and is intended to make it easier... May go a bit widescreen on your laptop!
