Has anyone any idea how I can find out what the weather was specifically like in Sutton Coldfield on 10th/11th February 2012 please, or does anyone from this area keep a diary by any miracle? I need to know whether we actually had any snowfall on these two days in connection with an accident.
I've tried every avenue I can think of on the internet, with very little success.
Thanks.

Just an idea Brum Lady, perhaps you could get that info from Central news or BBC local news, check their web sites and maybe you could email their weather depts.
Its peed down all year in Diggle.
Have you tried the Met office in Exeter Brum Lady? I will try to find out from there but can't promise. x Will get back to you.

Thanks for the fast responses. Tony - I've sent an email to the Met Office but only received a standard response so far. The local newspaper archives only come up with general articles. OH - where is Diggle?! Thanks a lot gness, hope you're successful!
Have you tried the Express & Star, Brum Lady.
My contact at the Met office is off ill. Will speak to her tonight or over the weekend and see what she can do...if anything. She isn't in weather but must know who is.
try http://weatherspark.com/#!graphs;a=UK/Sutton_Coldfield and use the graphs droplist at the top right corner

I've not yet tried the Express & Star Tony, I'll have a look.
Mark - that would be great thanks.
Bibblebub - that's a really interesting link, but lists everything except showing any actual snow! There is a line for snow depth, but in the blurb says it does not include this information. Thanks anyway.
Looking at the graph for 11th Feb on the link , it was below zero all day, so any precipitation would have been snow. There must be a precipitation record.
12th Feb though was above freezing all day so no snow that day.
http://www.accuweather.com/en/gb/sutton-coldfield/b72-1/february-weather/326972?monyr=2/1/2012&view=table The dates on the left of the table are the American format so the month is shown first. It shows there was no snow on either day.
