Hi all, new to AB, so be gentle,

im gonna go ahead and pop my cherry and ask my first question,
i am going for a job and over the phone the agency asked me if i have any unspent covictions...I said no, however 5 years ago i did get convicted for harrassment because i kept texting my ex threatning text messages after i found out he was cheating on me with my sister...i know that was careles but when you love someone and they hurt you and with your sister! you get all sorts of thoughts, anyways i think my conviction is spent now but i am not sure if its unspent....any help?

If this conviction is 'unspent' or not depends on what sentence was given.
You need to let us know what the sentence was and the exact charge you were convicted on.
What sort of job is it?
if it's spent, it's spent, if it's unspent it's unspent, it can't actually be both, unless you live 2 lives in parallel universes like alot of us on here.

it can only have been careless if you actually used your own mobile rather than a disposable number, if you ever have the need to do that again ask my advice first.

Question Author
i know it was careless and out of character it was just a split second reaction, my question is will a basic crb show my conviction?
Then it is spent 5 years from the date of conviction .
Question Author
being spent will that show on a crb?
A basic CRB check will not show it , but an enhanced CRB will show it.
Question Author
