Buddleah bush

My buddleah bush has grown to a whopping 15 feet .Alot of the flowers have died off now but there are lots that are still blooming.Can I cut all the dead ones off now or am I better waiting until they have all died .It is only three years old and my daughter lost hers last year after over trimming and I dont want the same to happen yo mine .Thankyou for any imformation .

Whatever you do won't hurt Buddleah. I am surprised your daughter lost hers, but perhaps it was only young. The best time to trim is March/early April and you can cut back almost down to ground level - say about 10 inches if you want!! If you want to cut the dead flowers off now, do so. I won't hurt.

Thankyou for your quick reply .LoftyLottie ,I will do it know whilst it isnt raining .
Not sure what the recommended time if any to cut, but i have one from the wild and a white one garden center bought, I cut mine back after flowering in autumn and have had no problems.
I tri the dead flowers so it looks better otherwise take the loppers to it in early spring give it a handful of blood fish and bone and watch it go higher than a highjumper
