hi all

this is for a close friend of mine, basically a year and a half ago my friend was seeing this bloke, she had partly in with him and paid her half of the rent, she has bank statement proving this. Every so often he would just ignore her for a couple of months and then contact her again saying it was due to stress, so in the end after being ingnored for months she give up on him and didnt bother texting him, now a year and a hlaf down the line he is calling her and sending letters to her house asking her to come back, she sent a polite letter back saying iv moved on and to leave her alone. but he doesnt stop he even hand delivers the letters to her house, where she lives with her mum and dad, is there anything she can do to stop this as it is really affecting her.

thanks in advance

yeah..tell him in no uncertain terms....to sling his hook..or you will inform the Police about him being a nuisance.
See a lawyer about setting in train a restraining order?
She needs to report this to the police and she needs to take all evidence with her to show them (letters, texts etc.).

she has kept all the letters the texts and kept all the voicemails hes left aswell, do u think they would set a restrainging order sandy roe
I should warn him off first..see if that works.
unless he's threatening her, I'd say the first step is to get a solicitor to draw up a letter telling him, in no uncertain terms, to leave her alone.
contact police and see a layer about restraining order
asap
I don't have much experience of these things but at this stage I doubt the police would do much unless there have been threats.
Maybe I'm missing something but I'm not sure how the bit about having bank statements to prove she paid half the rent fits in with this
How long has this been going on for? Has he just started or has it been going on for a year and a half?

sorry i forgot to add in there that hes saying she owes him money, she doesnt owe him a penny as the flat was in his name and she wasnt properly moved in.
The police will help. I went through similar with my niece's ex a few years ago after he kept texting me at all hours of the day and night. I showed the police the texts, they warned him off and that was the end of it.

hes only just started up after a year and a half, firstly he just text her out the blue and now its the letters im really worried about her.
well then she definitely needs to see a solicitor.
