A girl where I work has just passed her driving test and bought a car. In order to reduce the cost of the motor insurance she has submitted a friends address to the insurance company as the friends address is in a cheaper post code area. Is this legal or fraud, ? and in the case of her having an accident is she covered by insurnace?
Some people are particularly stupid and don't realise certain things constitute fraud.
Some people think they are smart and don't care who knows they do it. These are usually the same people who recommend fronting as a way of keeping insurance costs down.
The rules of insurance in Poland are not very different to our own. They do require that you are truthful.
I would grass this woman up , she could destroy the lives of others by not having the correct insurance.
I think she does know its illegal as it would be the same in Poland.
If she'd smart enough to work out that a friends postcode reduces the premiums then she's smart enough to know its a fiddle. She's taking the risk that the insurers will not find out or that she'll not need to make a claim. But she'd stupid enough to have told a colleague? It'll all end in tears and i hope its soon. Like when she slips up and puts different things in different addresses.
