Quotations for building work.. legal question...

Hello- If I quote someone a price for a building job is there amount of time that the quotation is legally valid for - or do I specify an amount of time e.g. 28 days and that is valid? Hope someone can help.

If you wish the quote to be time limited, make sure you say something like.....

"Please note that the final figure in this quote is only guaranteed for 28 days, from the date shown on the quote, or until it is accepted, whichever is the sooner. After 28 days, the final figure may be subject to revision which will, naturally, include any increases in the costs of materials since the time of the original quote."
