o2 mobile broadband dongle problem

Please help. When I plug in my 02 mobile broadband dongle i keep getting a message saying "This usb device can perform faster if you connect it to a hi-speed usb 2.0 port."
Might this explain why my internet connection keeps disconnecting ? Is there any way to solve this ?

update on blackberry has jumbled up my message logs...?

no it won't explain why the connection keeps disappearing, that's more likely a poor signal.

You can fit USB 2 ports by using either an internal PCI card (desktop) or a PCMCIA card (laptop) but it won't make any difference, USB 1 ports are still fast enough for a broadband dongle.
