my brother is being charged with assulting a police officer i just wanted to know what will the most likely outcome be, he has never been arrested before. the incident happened when a bouncer tried dragging my brother out of the pub for no reason just that we were having a arguement, they were dragging him out by his hair didnt even ask him to quite down just grabbed him from behind, i tried to get the bouncer to lossen his grip on him, but he just punched me in the face then stamped on my face, when the police turned up they just essculated it they have broken my wrist along with the other injuries, my brother bit one of the officers because he couldnt breath when he had 6 police officers sat on him, this was all witnessed by other people, is it worth arguing the case or will they just take the polices word for it! like they usually do!!

Sorry about the grammer i only have one working hand now

I look forward to your replies

sounds like 20 years for one and ten for the other for aiding and abetting, no parole in either case.
Get a good brief and the chances are they will drop it. the police and cps only usually go after soft targets...
Plead guilty. Apologise to the police officer.

thats fine i understand your reasoning, i just wanted to know the likely outcome being that he has never been in trouble with the police, if the cctv conflicts with what the bouncers statements said would this help

his arm as one of them was holding his head
So, there's resisting arrest to add to it as well?

^^^^ if you don't know the answer, don't judge. This is answerbank not judgemebank.

Has the CCTV been disclosed? Has your brother got the assistance of a solicitor?

To what extent are the injuries on the officer - ie did your brother break the skin? Did the officer require medical assistance?
As barmaid said, please do not judge posters here. If you don't have any helpful advice to offer, don't answer!

I will begin suspending people for this kind of thing in the future.

All the best,
