I got arrested yesterday for a incident that happened a month ago. Me and my friends assaulted someone who has just headbutted a mate of mine who was a girl, she has pressed charges aswell against him but i have now been released on bale untill further investiagtions have been complete. As i say this i my 1st offence and when i spoke to the police i admitted to hitting him in the stomach or upper leg but he has a cut lip and a bleeding nose which one of my freinds must of done.
I have to go back to the police soon but i was abit worries about what is going to happen, i dont think any of my freinds with admit to hitting him in the face so what will happen ?

Slapped Legs and a couple of months in 'Bellmarsh'
Carlton - If you can't help Mat out, leave the thread alone.............your answers are being removed; have you not noticed ?

This is NOT chatterbank !
You can bet anything you like that your version, and those of your friends, will vary wildly from the other lot, therefore a total nightmare for anyone to sort out and the truth will undoubtedly never be revealed.

Sounds very much like six of one, half a dozen of the other. I'm guessing that all of you involved are very young? All you can do is take your medicine, put it all down to experience, grow up to be more responsible people, and reflect on the fact that all you have achieved is to get a criminal record. Not exactly something to be proud of? Learn from this and move on with your life.

I am 21 years old i never normaly get into trouble and like i say this is my 1st offence and all i was doing is reacting to him hitting a girl!! I dont think its fair of you to say i need to grow up when im just asking what the outcomes might be.
Ditto Jack....

Mat...no, they won't try to 'pin' anything on you. They will look at the evidence and the witness statements and decide what to do from there.

If I were you...I wouldn't worry too much.
Question Author
who said im proud of it aswell ?
Some people don't live in the real world. If some bloke head butted me he'd have a lot more than a bloody nose...

ok cheers ummmm. I have to go back on the 15th so you don't think il get anything then or at maximum il get community service. Also would you advise me getting a solicitor now or waiting to see what they say when i go back ?

Yes, you do need to "grow up", simply because you may be 21 and old enough to vote, marry, die for your country, go into pubs/clubs etc etc, but you are still at a very young, vulnerable and impressionable age.

I've been at that age, obviously, a long time ago, and believe me, not only do I know what I'm talking about, but I do so from many years of experience of being in law enforcement and can assure you that your experience is one predominantly peculiar to younger members of society as opposed to older people.

How many pensioners do you normally see involved in what basically amounts to gang fights? You don't. Overwhelmingly, those taking part are of your age group and the main reason for it is immaturity. Give it another 20/30 years and you'll realise that what I'm advising you is true and accurate.

So because i reacted to a Assault on a girl who is a good freind on mine that means i need to grow up !! Ok cheers for your imput but sadly i am going to say BE QUIET !!
Not many people listen to 'eyethen'..!!

I've just text my cousin who knows about these things...I'll let you know.
The fight I seen last week was between some 40 year olds....

lilsecret...see above..!!

Mat...do not take this advice as gospel. He said use the duty solicitor...1st offence, very minor...you'll be fine.
Ed. I understand your point. But this kind of behaviour does become annoying.

Have you noticed the increased number of posts by alleged law breakers recently - from newly-registered users?
